What a fabulous week we have all had! Here are some photos from Tuesday's Teddy Bear's picnic and from yesterday when the children finally got to explore the Playscape area at the back of Pod 1. Have a fabulous holiday everyone. We look forward to seeing all the children again next year.

Pod Assembly
Thank you all so much for supplying costumes for our Pod assembly. The children loved dressing up and performing for you. What a fabulous job Cathy and Bess did with the face painting! Thank you so much for taking the time to come in and do this ladies. Here are a few photos of the beautiful butterflies:

A busy week 7!
What an active and fun-filled week we had last week. It was the first week of our swimming programme and we would like to thank all the parents who gave up their time to walk to the pool and back with us, help the children get changed and to those who were brave enough to get in the water to assist with group lessons. We feel so appreciative of your support. Below are some photos of the children enjoying their lessons.
On Thursday we had an afternoon of hand-printing led by Simon, our Enviroschools Co-ordinator. The children each made a hand-print in their tribe colour onto some wooden boards. These will make up part of the archway for the entrance to the Playscapes area. It is great that your children will leave their permanent mark on this feature and we hope to see lots of you joining us at the official opening of the Playscapes area on Thursday 15th December (see the school newsletter for more details). Click on the "Create" page to see some photos.
We have also welcomed 5 tadpoles into our Pod! The children are enjoying making careful observations and we have made predictions as to how they may change in the coming weeks. Have a look at the "Explore" page to see photos.
Here are some photos from swimming. We are looking forward to another successful week of the programme.

Welcome to Term 4
What a busy and fun week we have had! We have welcomed 13 new children to Pod 1 and it has been lovely to see the children from both Rooms helping our newbies to settle in. Here we all are having fun with Whaea MaryAnn during Te Reo Maori on Tuesday.

Week 9 Term 3
What a busy and fun-filled week we have had. All the children gave it their all in the Cross Country race on Tuesday. A special well done to John and Theo who placed 2nd and 3rd in the boys' race, and to Paige who came 4th in the girls. We are so proud of all our runners and also of how patient and well-behaved the Pod 1 children were whilst waiting for what seemed like ages for their race to begin. Thanks to all parents too for your help, support and encouragement. Here are a few photos:
